North American School Scrabble 2018 Championships


Where is the Hasbro Gaming Championship being held?

The event will be held in the Grand Ballrooms at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott in Philadelphia, PA.


How much does it cost to participate?

North American School SCRABBLE Championship Tournament fees are as follows:

Championship Division: $100 per team
(early-bird discount runs until March 1, 2019)

Challenge Division: $100 per team
(early-bird discount runs until March 1, 2019)

High School Division: $50 per competitor
(early-bird discount runs until March 1, 2019)


Can guests attend the event?

Guests of competitors may attend the event for free. Limit 2 adult guests per competitor.


What lexicon will be used for Scrabble?

All SCRABBLE tournaments will use the Official SCRABBLE Players Dictionary, 6th Edition (OSPD6) lexicon.


Do competitors need to provide their own equipment?

SCRABBLE competitors do not need to bring any equipment.


Are hotel discounts available?

Discounted rooms blocks are available at select area hotels.

When I arrive, what time can I check-in?

Check-in begins Saturday April 27th at 7:30am.


Will there be a Saturday night event?

Can a child attend without adult supervision?

An adult must accompany a child (including all competitors) at all times during the event.
